Working as a waitress has been a transformative experience that has helped me grow both personally and professionally. It taught me the importance of communication, patience, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Retirement Home Server

My time working at a retirement home has profoundly shaped my personal and professional growth. It taught me the importance of compassion, patience, and active listening as I built meaningful connections with residents. I learned to adapt my communication to meet their unique needs, fostering a sense of trust and comfort. Interacting with people from different generations and diverse backgrounds highlighted the importance of understanding different perspectives and experiences. Being a hockey skating instructor for young children has been an incredibly rewarding experience that has helped me to reflect on what it means to be a quality educator on and off the ice. It taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and clear communication, especially when working with beginners. I learned to adapt my teaching methods to match each child’s learning style, creating a fun and supportive environment that encouraged confidence on the ice. Through this role, I developed stronger leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire young learners. It also deepened my understanding of how to nurture growth, build resilience, and foster a love for the sport.
